Aloha and Welcome to Aloha Pikake Designz.
We are a mother-daughter duo sharing our roots from Hawai‘i to the mainland — carrying the spirit of aloha in everything we create.
My name is Leinaʻala Kalani-Figueroa, daughter of Armanda Figueroa, and this is our story.
Raised between Oʻahu and the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, I grew up surrounded by the hands of strong women. My grandmother sewed clothing, blankets, and handmade leis with care and intention. My mother learned from her — and in turn, I learned from watching both of them. Sewing was never just about fabric. It was about love, patience, and making something beautiful with what you have.
I remember the late nights — the hum of the sewing machine, my dad cutting fabric, my brothers turning scrunchies inside out, and me proudly modeling every piece. Those moments weren’t just about creating products. They were about ʻohana. Everything we made was created together and shared with heart.
What started as a quiet dream in my mother’s heart has now become something we are building side by side. Through encouragement, faith, and generations of skill, that dream is finally stepping into the light.
Now, as a mother of three, I understand that I am standing in the middle of something bigger than myself. I am the bridge between my grandmother’s hands and my children’s future. Aloha Pikake Designz is more than a business — it is legacy carried forward with intention.
Though we now call Augusta, Georgia home, Hawai‘i will always live within us. The islands shaped our values — faith, family, hard work, and community — and we carry that spirit wherever we go.
Every piece we press, sew, embroider, or laser cut carries our roots, our resilience, and our love.
Aloha Pikake Designz is proof that dreams do not expire — they simply wait for the right season.
